What a great weekend…filled with great weather and great times. I spent all day Saturday scribing at the Sheep Thrillz trial in Scio
for Judge Derek.
I had a great time watching every run.
Especially my friend Lora’s runs,
she is such a great team with her dogs.
Lora is the penning whisperer.
Derek was awesome to work with and I learned a lot!
Sunday the blue shelties and I headed to Battle Ground Washington to set stock for an AKC herding trial. Kant and I worked well together and had a great time. When the trial was over I ran Echo on the A course and she rocked. I also ran Kant at the Advanced level of A course and we did amazing through the pen. I did not close the pen like it would be for Advanced and we struggled getting the cross drive. I need to work on that!
And of course there were fireworks Sunday night!
Jordana and Stephen purchased some fun ones!!
What is it about fire?
There were also some fireworks going off around us that were not purchased at the local stands.
Everyone had a great evening except for Slick who spent the night in the bathroom in the center of the house with no windows.
You may be a redneck if... your lifetime goal is to own a fireworks stand.
Jeff FoxworthyMonday I was back out in Scio to work the entrance gate but it seemed Judge Derek scared off all the scribes and I was needed there so I spent the day scribing the double lift. Lora and Sally made it to their first double lift. The double lift is one of my favorite things to watch where the dogs go out over 400 yards to get the first set of sheep bring them half way down the field, stop and look back and then they are off to get a second set of sheep. Sally had the best look back!!
Back to work on Tuesday so I can rest!
